we crammed quite a bit into one day. i think we did more walking today than we have on any day before. my feet were actually hurting on the train ride home, and it was 'crush' hour so we were all crammed into the subway cars like sardines. i eventually got a seat, but by that time we only had 2 stops to go. riding the bike home from the station nearly did me in. my brother got me some milk coffee, though, and i think the caffeine worked.
speaking of caffeine, the day i arrived in tokyo, i found a vending machine with mountain dew. that is the only time i've been able to find it while in japan. there is a serious mountain dew crisis going on over here.
we already got several rolls of film developed and most of my pictures turned out ok. there's some very funny ones on this last roll i just finished, so i'll have to wait until i get home to see how they turned out. prints here are a bit smaller than in america, but the difference is barely noticeable.
i found nightmare before christmas stuff today, which made me oh so very happy. first there was a vending machine - like a gumball machine - that had small figures for 200 yen. hooray! i bought way too many. of course i got every character available except jack. i bet there were no jacks in the machine. i think i ended up with 3 zeros, 3 locks, and 2 barrels. then we go to this disney store and they have stuffed jacks and zeros on sale 50% off! hooray! jack ended up being about $8 american money and zero was a little less. i should have bought more and sold them on ebay. later in the day we went to a 4-story toy store and they had an entire display full of stuff. they had a display case type of thing that held twelve different jack heads, all made of silver. it was only about $2000 american money, so you know i bought several. heh, i wish. i bought a few small cheapo things, but i don't care if they're small & cheapo because they're nmbc and that's all good.
i suppose i should go finish packing and get to sleep. i leave tokyo tomorrow, tuesday, around 5pm and when i get home to texas, something like 15 hours later, it will be 6:39pm on the same day. that's craziness.
