he's worse than crazy, he's evil!

blah. this day can go to hell. technically i'm talking about yesterday, but since i haven't been to sleep yet, it's still 'today' to me. there's no doubt about it - my family is completely insane. of course i love them, but they are insane. i think my oldest brother had the right idea when he moved to japan. i would like to move around the world right now as well.

... more

i don't think i even want to go into everything that happened today. i think i just want to stay brief & reserved. there was trauma all around. i briefly escaped dealing with said trauma by going to the pet store to get stuff for zira, but then i was right back to it again. i tried to escape again by calling christina for conversation, but i got interrupted with yet more trauma. worse trauma. just when i think it can't possibly get any worse ... it always does. christina came over in the midst of all this. i'd called her back and asked her to. i desperately needed someone. i also tried calling rob, but he wasn't home so i didn't bother with a message. after much emotional turmoil, things began to settle down. rob called back (caller id gave me away) and then he ended up coming over, also. i can get quite reclusive at times, but i'm always amazed at the way friends can make me feel better. even when nothing is better.

so that's that. it's enough for me, anyway, which is what matters. it didn't really dawn on me until hours after she'd been here, but tonight was the first time christina & i have actually seen each other since christmas. when i got back from japan, she was in the beginning of her 'quit smoking' thing. she warned me that i didn't even want to see her as she was way too irritable & grumpy. since then we've just been writing lots of emails and talking on the phone a lot, so i had pretty much just forgot that i hadn't seen her in like two months. i gave her the souvenirs that i brought back for her & brian. she was very excited about the strawberry pocky.

she left around midnight and rob stayed for about another hour. we went to grab some breakfast tacos, and he also helped me locate an sftp client for my mac. so hooray for that, at least.
