i am now about 90% moved back into my house. rob came over last night & helped me move the majority of the crap i still had over here back to my place. i've still got to unpack, of course, and there's stuff that's in my house that needs to be moved around, also. it just feels so much closer now, and that makes me happy. carpenter guy was supposed to be here in the morning to hang my kitchen cabinets, fix a door that won't shut now because of the carpet, and fix my closet. something came up, though, so there's a chance he may show up & a chance he may not. we'll see. the sooner that stuff is done, the better.

when rob came over, he asked if i'd be up for seeing a movie before we started on the moving. i said sure, so we went to see men in black II. ok. i liked the first one quite a bit. most of my friends seemed to not like it, but i laughed a lot and found it entertaining. rob & i managed to see that one for free. free is good, but that's not the reason i liked it. anyway, i'd yet to see a trailer for the sequel, so i wasn't quite sure whether to expect it to be ok or to expect it to suck. i have issues with both lara flynn boyle and that jackass guy, but my issues are just kind of stupid, and mild, so the two of them being in the film certainly wasn't enough to make me avoid it. they didn't ruin it, either. it wasn't, you know, great, but it wasn't horrible. it was fun for a dumb summer blockbuster movie. i think the people that are hating it are perhaps expecting a little too much.

we saw previews for the two towers (yay), star trek: nemesis (yay - i hope), terminator 3 (not much to that one at all), and something called blue crush. not only did that last one look entirely silly, the preview was also way too long. if someone does want to go see it, they could probably just watch the trailer and save their $$. it seems like we saw a preview for something else, but if we did, i've already blanked it out.

i was trying to watch sixteen candles on cable earlier, but commercials suck and i can't stand watching a movie like that - one that i've seen too many times and nearly know by heart - and then have it all edited to hell. i missed the beginning, too, so i'm not sure if they had that weird cafeteria scene that always shows up on tv.
