i didn't sleep well last night. i had a hard time falling asleep, and then once i finally did, i hard difficultly staying asleep. then, around 11am, i was awakened by my mother & sara (carpenter guy's daughter - i've been spelling her name wrong). i think they have nearly finished everything up, but i'm really not sure. apparently my mother had asked them to do a couple of extra things that i didn't even know about, and that's why they keep ending up back over here. i got closet doors today, but only one is working correctly on the track, so at some point, they'll be back yet again to take care of that.
... moreall the stuff in my kitchen is done, though, so now i really need to get off my ass and try to clean up in there. the original contractor we had a while back left a nice big mess for me. i don't think the sink will ever be really clean again. i'll never know until i try, though. i need to get on that and the scrubbing of the bathroom floor before i get so big and round that i don't even want to bend over anymore. we should have made them clean up the mess, but we were so frustrated with them by the end of the work that we just wanted to be rid of them.
sara's play yesterday was very cute. it was called "the toymaker's dream" and other than the toymaker, the cast was made up of 5-8 year olds who were in the summer drama camp program. sara was the ballerina. she did a great job and she also had a great time. she was ready to do the entire play over for me today, playing all the parts and singing all of the songs. all of the little ones were so adorable in their costumes.
i went over to sarah & norman's for a while this afternoon to hang out with sarah & lily. sarah has been trying & trying to get a photo of that baby smiling. she's had no luck - until today. i guess ms. lily decided now that she's 10 weeks old, it's time to pose for the camera.
